Ford Condor Motorhome 1965

Hi everyone, wanted to thank all that replied to my post on the Ford Condor Motorhome thanks again!!! this site rocks! more power to you all. The Condor has a Rocxkwell Rear End in it with 6.20 gear ratio, running 19.5 Tire size. Wondering is this a One Ton Rockwell Rear End? did Rockwell make a matching front end in this style? Here some people talk about a Ford Condor that ran in Baja in 1969? Also looking to connect with all other Condor Motorhome Owners. Brakes this has drum brakes all around, they dont look that big, and would like to do a brake upgrade on this Condor, Wondering about the Condor 2,s which sold in the 70,s the Condor 2 does it still use drum brakes? Thanks again!

The Condor's were built on the P500 chassis.

The parts catalog list 3 different rear ends: 2 Rockwell-Timkens, one Eaton 2 speed rear end for 1965.

Rockwell-Timken Model # C100 / 11,000 lb. rear axle capacity.

Rockwell-Timken Model # D100 / 12,000 lb. rear axle capacity.

The same rear ends were used in F500's = ton & a half, so they are larger than a one ton truck uses.

The Rockwell-Timken ID tag is bolted to the back side of the rear end, on the right axle tube, just past the center section above the brake line.

hello there! I just found this posting and wanted to introduce myself! My family has had this 1965 Ford Condor motorhome for many many years, and finally I might be the next owner but trying to see what all would be involved in fixing it up. Seems hard to find other owners, would love to connect with you!
