hypertech vs superchips

just looking for some opinions my 97 psd hase a hypertech power programmer in it. and i have a buddy selling his superchips max micro tuner.dirt cheap so im wondering if there really is much of an advantage to switching?thanks

Proably wont be much if any difference. You might like the one ya got better... Try it out and see which one ya like. And.... It all depends on how cheap dirt is???? LOL

which ever one you decide on I might wanna buy the other one for whatever the going price of dirt is.

I had a superchips then went to the hypertech... I like the hypertech alot better...the only thing is the hyper doesnt read DTCs , but for my truck the hyper is great

i've heard form several mechanics that hypertechs have been known to make one run too lean and burn holes in pistons, and that they werent made as good. but idk. thats what people tell me. i'd rather have superchip i think, but never had hypertech

i just put the superchips microtuner on mine and love it. smooth idle and plenty of power. great tuner. with code reader.
