The C9AE-E is definately the B9 block. It is cast not only with the 4 bolt mains but also a third oil galley in the lifter area for the mechanical lifters and a second oil cross-over ump in the front of the lifter valley. The front and rear bulk heads are thicker also.
The story goes that if you find a 429/460 block with an "A" inside a square on the front of the block down close to the level of the oil filter, it has the B9 bulk heads. The D0VE-A and the D1VE-AA blocks had these.
