for under $100 you don't have alot of picks. but heres something that can help you out.

lots of good info on there site. I think im gonna get the 8500 in the spring for myself.

just something i think.

I got a speeding ticket and it was $300 and i had a ~$150 cobra. Id spend as much money as i can or save it up and get the best out there now. hence why im getting the 8500. even thought it's $300 it's worth it if it saves me acouple times from a ticket.

I don't really know what's the best radar detector. I drive about 5 miles under the speed limit. I know a lot of people that travel a lot, like business people, truckers, etc, and they say that the Valentine One is the one that picks up the radar/laser the best.

On a road trip with my friends to Las vegas, I've seen the Passport 8500 in action and it picked up the radar and laser very well.

Valentine One. By far the best (IMO). I have had passports & escorts, the V1 is far superior. It tracks multiple "bogeys" and even tells you the direction that the radar signal is coming from.

You won't find under 100 bucks, but they are worth every penny.

I like it ok, but Ive always wanted to try the Valentine 1. couldnt pass this radar up because my buddy needed money and gave it to me for $125
as mentioned before, you cant find a good one for under $100

I have the the Valentine 1 and on my first trip it must have saved me about 5 times in a 400 mile trip. I even was hit by laser and it picked it up . Excellant detector as stated above and worth every penny. No other detector protects you from behind that I have seen.
