Ford Specs Guide

Downs Ford in New Jersey has published complete standard equipment and options guides for most makes of Fords, including the F150. Located at

http://www.downsford.com/order_guides/2001F-150.pdf

For those of you with Supercrews and towing package, but a small radiator, this guide makes it clear that you are supposed to have a large radiator and a 72 amp hour battery.

Ford Specs Guide

Hi Flat6Rider,
If you downloaded the specs, perhaps you can post them for the rest of us?
Thanks,

Ford Specs Guide

I recommend anyone looking for this sort of thing to check Ebay. So far, I have purchased a complete three volume set of Ford Shop Manuals, a Chilton's repair manual, Performance Specs book, Maintenance Specs book, new hood letters, a used original chrome grill, an interior dome light, a full set of used original side marker lights, except for the Chilton's manual everything was from 1979 for my 1979 f150. It cost me much less than ordering everything brand new, and I didn't have to drive all over town searching through junkyards either. People are selling chrome trim, door panels, paint chip sheets, tailgates, most everything you could possibly want or need, even whole trucks. Just go to www.ebay.com, choose Browse, choose Smart Search, and put in your keywords like -- 1979 ford -- Also, I usually put in words to exclude. For example, I would enter every other ford model like -- mustang ltd pinto ranchero -- (except econoline and bronco) just to make sure I don't have to sift through irrelevant parts. I would also exclude -- harrison gerald -- so you don't have to sift through Harrison Ford and Gerald Ford memorabilia. You would be amazed how much stuff there is for sale, and how cheap you can get it. You may also get some entertainment from watching parts get really expensive. "He paid how much for that gauge cluster? Jeez Louise!" I highly recommend that you register at ebay (which is free) so that when you find an item you like, you can choose "Watch This Item". This will set it up so that all you do is login from time to time, go to "My Ebay", and there are the items you're watching. No searching over and over for the same part.

OK, I guess that's a long enough post. But, I wouldn't have written this much if I didn't believe that Ebay was a great place to find this stuff.
