Charging system Diagram Needed please

I just got a new alt, new volt reg and new batt. It seems to be a wiring issue as to why my batt is not charging while the truck is running.

I need to know if someone has a diagram on how power gets to and charges the battery so I can check and replace those wires.

I have a 73 f100 custom 4x4, 302, no AC, no radio.

The dynamo in the alternator turns inside a magnetic field creating energy.
The mechanical motion develops a certain amount of power depending on the load. Ie:ignition, heater motor, headlights, wiper motor, powerful stereo amplifier.

When there is a need for power the Voltage regulator sends a signal to the alternator for more power as it has to disperse more power.

Tests should never be done at engine idle.

VR's don't cut in until about 800 rpm.

I think you need the FTE Electrical forum and talk to Dave.
