Hey Shane,

In laws had a '77 Stepside on the ranch for years, and has two tanks. Brother in law has it at his house now with dreams of fixin it up. Actually in pretty good shape. Less than 80,000 miles and probably hasn't seen 60 mph ever. Pretty sweet old truck.

I have a 77 f-150 and its a flareside. Replaced the floor a few months back and going to take the whole bed off and put on a flat bed.

There were some that came from the factory as a long bed stepside. The bad news is there arent too many. The good news is there were some made in the 50's, 60's and 70's. The only one Ive ever seen in person was on a 52 F-2. Good luck finding one.

I dont know for sure but the short stepsides were the same for a long time before the 73-79's and those fit on the 70's trucks. If you find a long bed one measure it all up before you buy it.

I have been told that the bed from the 60's and older was the same and was used all the way up to '79. It would explain why the beds styling does not really match the truck.
