im guessing time for new front brakes?!?!

well, on my way home today, truck started pulling to the left a little bit. i thought nothing of it, just a figment of my immagination, right?? no.....got home for dinner and my driver side rim was pouring out white smoke from the holes in it! cool sight, i suppose. got in there with a handy dandy flex light to see that my caliper was sticking. Let it cool while I went in for dinner, came out about an hour later and decided to take it for another spin to see how it went. Truck tracked fine and no smell of brakes. Parked it at home and no billowing cloud of white smoke. Im supposing that means its unstuck?? Anyway, I plan on doing new rotors, calipers, and pads probably thursday while I have the truck apart anyway to do the clutch. Any input would be great. Thanks.

I would add hoses to your list. its very possible that that hose has degraded inside and a flap of rubber has acted as a check valve and kept pressure from releasing.

Like 97 350 said , check those bearings i had front vibration/pulling and the bearings looked good but they were bad. You have to take them out and hold the outside cage in one hand while you turn the inside race and push together to simulate weight on the wear surfaces. I took mine out and they looked great. I checked them like i just said and they were bumpy when spun by hand. I hammered my old ones apart and sure enough, the contact area was worn.

pretty sure if they are bad it could allow your wheel to be cocked "camber" and the disc rub the pads crooked.
