setting the motor in

I am about to set the 460 in the bronco, I am using the L&L motor mounts. would it be better to set the mounts on the frame perches and then set the motor on them. or bolt the mounts to the motor, and then set the motor in?

I like to do one of each. The one on the block will help line it up and the other will already be loose in the frame so you don’t have to fight it.

The way I've done it, and helped others do it was with both mounts on the frame.
mrknight01's idea sounds pretty good though.

What kind of build did you do to the 460?

I bolted the L&L mounts to the motor first, then lowered it into the Bronco. It was much easier to reach the bolts that way, vs inside the engine bay. On my 84 I had t remove the passngr-side exhaust manifold to fit the 460 in there, then massage the firewall to get it to fit. Not an issue with the L&L headers. Good luck ,JSM84
