O/T - Boyd Coddington screws up the salt at Bonneville

Apparently Boyd and his crew were down at the salt, and got his motorhome stuck. and the situation got worse from there.

read the story and the pics:

We are all entitled to our own opinion about Boyd , and ill just say that mine is a pretty negative one.

I have never liked him and always thought of him as an arrogant person that feels he can do whatever his little heart desires.

My view of Boyd echoes yours.

Ditto here to all that has been said. I would also like to add his wife isn't any better. They deserve each other.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....As a professionally trained and certified towing operator, I must shake my head in embarrassment. The ROFL is for the insanity of the entire situation. So, the next question, do you think Bonneville will let Mr. Coddington and his crew return for future events? The next statemtn would be, I do feel sort of sorry for Boyd and the team, because they would be responsible for paying for every piece of equipment that came out there, and the tow bill would be in the $1000's, if not more than $10,000. Most tow facilities would break it down sort of like this.... call out per truck, miles per truck, feet of wire rope per truck, hours on scene per truck, and operator, recovery for each truck, and the motor home, and the last truck to unstick the first three and the MH, as well as any damages caused to each truck. Oh man, expensive. Then, If Bonneville goes after them for damages to the course. That's just too amazing.

Just reinforces my opinion of ol' BC! As Bugs Bunny would say: "What a maroon!"
Worse part is the show producers will foot the bill, and the boys in the shop will laugh about it for ever...

this was all over some other sites not too long ago and yes every one is right , he's an idiot and obviously so are his people . sad part is i'd be wiiling to bet he get's off and the general public , and the real racers at bonneville are gonna pay the price . i'm no fan of his never have been nor will be . you know how he'll fix it don't ya if they make him ?? he'll send out the goof squad with a few 55 gallon drums of bondo and hire someone to faux paint the salt texture . and yes i love, i made the same comment over on ol' skool , {use my real identity over there }
