Rare truck for sale on uPay

This truck was posted by a new member about a month ago;

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...ended-cab.html

Now he has on eBay, I think it's an very unique truck worth restoring to original condition. I would bid on it if I had a few extra bucks. I sure would bid on if it were a '48-50!

I hope it will be going to someone who restores it properly.

I'd have to put a full size shortbox on it. It wouldn't be original anymore but it would look so much better.

Cool, but I'd sure hate to try and find a rear door or fender or a bed for it...

I know how to make it look even better and make it more RARE. Park it in my drive way it would be the only one in the world.

You can always put "Sport trac" emblems on it.

Bob,

I know yopu are a real good guy but then you do something like this.

You post a nice picture of a super rare truck like this then announce it's on ebay and kindly provide a link Of course I'm going to look to see where it is, hoping it's too far away for me to go get (like Upstate New York). That way, I can easily justify not getting it because I know I can't help myself if it's in Texas somewhere. Well guess what Bob-O, it's only three short hours away from home so now I have a real problem. How do you expect someone like me to sleep at night knowing that thing is that close and it's for sale.

I know better than to get myself involved in something like this but my birthday is coming up. Perhpas I can sell it to my wife using the b-day angle.....

I hope that you can get it. It needs to go into the hands of someone who'll know what to do with it and keep it original.

If I could get it, I'd just do enough to make the truck roadworthy and keep it in the condition that it's in now.

One suggestion, tell her that you're preserving history.

Good luck!

At this point you have a whole week to think up a scheme. You know you want it, go ahead and get it. You deserve it

If nothing else tell your wife you're buying it for her.

I just want to know which one of us is "bidder1" through "bidder8".

It looks to me that Bidder 1 could be a "schill (sp?)" bidder. Take a look at the bidder's history and the pattern of bids.

Also, I just noticed the funky seats. Why couldn't seats from a Panel be used? It seems like it would be more logical and likely cost efficient. I wonder if the bench seat was cut in half and both halves had the cut sides refabricated.

Ilya,

The seats don't look like Fords to me. They actually look like Suburbans of the era. They had the 2/3 driver side and 1/3 passenger side with the tilt.

If I was the seller, and Bidder1 isn't a schill, I would be very leery of the guy. He has no history. All it takes is one guy like this to louse up an auction.

Suburban seats is what came to my mind first, but I wanted to think that it was all Ford.
