With 5 cans you're WAY overcharged, unless it's a pre 1980 truck. This is bad for the compressor, very bad. With, I'm guessing, 8oz of oil, you now have too much in the system. This is also not good.
Was the system empty? did you fix the leak? . Did you evacuate the system before charging? How much oil was in the can that you added? What are the system pressures?
There's much more to evaluting and fixing an AC problem that pumping in oil and refrigerant.

WHAT YEAR AND MODEL OF VEHICLE??? Very Important!
What was wrong with the old compressor?
Did you pull a vacuum on the system before charging?
How many ounces of oil did you add?
What are the system presures now?
We need answers to ALL of these questions to try and help you, my crystal ball is out for repairs. There's more to it than adding xx cans of refrigerant. 60 degrees is not good.

If the compressor grenaded internally, both the condenser and orifice tube are full of bits and pieces. This contamination causes restrictions, among other things. The AC isn't going to work until the system is flushed, the orifice and accumulator replaced, and the system is pulled into a deep vacuum before charging. The blockage is going to cause your compressor to self destruct in a very short time due to extremely high head pressure.

Second, had the system already been converted or did it quit w/ the original R12? If it had R12 then you need to go ahead and break down the system and flush it including taking out the rear expansion valve and cleaning it or possiblely buying a new one if its stopped up too. You're going to have to clean the entire system anyways as someone already mentioned the stopped up front oriface tube and so on.
Third, after flushing the entire system and allowing it to air dry, add your 3ounces of oil to the compressor (after draining as much out you can), add 2 to the condensor line, and 2 for the evaporator. Then pull an initial vacuum for 10 min's, close your valves on your gauges, turn off vacuum pump, and allow to sit for 5 mins'. If the needle hangs on 29" then you've gotta tight system, otherwise start looking for leaks. If it's good then pull a vacuum for at least an hour. After doing so, figure out how much 134 you need. Say your underhood sticker says 5lbs R12, go w/ 4.25lbs of 134 to start w/ and go from there. Your R12 system will not require as much 134 as it would R12. Thats just how it is. Hope this helps.
