While installing my cell handsfree unit, I ran across 2 connectors that plug into dummy receivers by the cigarette lighter, on the inside dash side. This is in an 06 XLT. Could not find any details as to what these 2 connectors would be connected to or what they control. A small piece of the Ford wiring puzzle.

 

If you don't have the reverse sensing system one is for that. Ford very often pre wires their trucks for all the options even though they're not installed.
