On the 02s we have the roof with the raised bumps. If I'm not mistaken, the only way to install a sunroof on our trucks is to have a full roof put on. There are a few companies that can do it, but its not going to be cheap. Would love to add a sunroof, but the cost is going to be up there. Let us know if you find a good solution.

i had my dealer install one on my 07 350 before i took delivery of it a few months ago. it was done by an outside vendor for the ford dealer. it was $995 added to the price of the truck. am pleased with it. it closes automatically when you turn the truck off, so you dont have to worry about leaving it open by mistake.

the only problem is i cant go thru a high pressure spray wash as it will leak. but no problem with leaks when i was the truck or when it rains.

you will lose the overhead console.

this was a very professional job and looks factory inside and out.

as far as the raised ribs on the roof, my crew cab has short ribs over the front seat area and then another set of ribs behind this. the sunroof goes where the front set of ribs are.

pics are in my gallery of the sunroof. sorry about the outside shots as it is raining here today, finally. i checked the paperwork with the sunroof. it is a 'Hollandia 700' roof made by Westbaco but the installer had written in 790 beside the 700 so i guess that is the model no. that fits the superduty.hope this helps. i sure enjoy my sunroof. the roof and the upfitter switches are the only options my truck didnt have and i installed the upfitters myself along with the high idle mod on switch 4 and am using switch 1 for the KC lites up front.

IMHO I wouldn't go with any kind of sunroof in a truck, especially aftermarket. It's just another source of leaks and rattles as the truck ages, especially if you do any offroading or regularly drive on rough roads.

Thanks for posting the pics, that really looks nice. I want to get one in mine but I would hate to lose the overhead console.

i appreciate your concern and opinion, but this roof has a lifetime warranty and i dont do offroading and avoid rough roads. didnt buy a $48,000 truck to make a stump jumper out of it, lol. i know it is taking a risk with a sunroof, but i hope the enjoyment of it will outweigh any possible problems down the (smooth) road.
