First thing i'd do is go scream WARRENTY to your local dealer that you got it from then i would scream it again after you get it there. I used to work at a Harley dealership you should of seen some of the warrenty claims that the loud screamers got thru. The louder you scream the more that you get done for you.

Had one of mine do the same thing... About two weeks ago, took it in for an oil change and showed them the issue, along with two badges that were losing the black coloring. Replaced under warranty! Get it into the dealer!

That is definitely something the dealer will take care of you. I wouldn't drag your feet on it though. The sooner its reported, the better.

Why would you go into the dealer screaming? My dealer takes care of warranty work without any issues. I find that when I go in civil I get treated civil.

Unfortunately, there are more and more dealers out there these days, that feel customer satisfaction is not their number one priority. It's strictly a numbers game and if your not happy, so what, there's someone else out there who will come and buy or get service... Autofair Ford in Manchester NH is one of those were you MUST be agressive to get what's needed taken care of. Everything is either normal, or something YOU, the customer did and wont be covered.... Jerks.

I'm curious, are these the "great" chrome clad wheels? Mine on my 07 are already ruined by the great amounts of brake dust generated by the front pads. If this stuff sits for more then a few minutes, forget it, it's permenant.

If you're under 60k its warranty with no issue. The 04/05 Explorer were a peeling problem, now they "chrome clad" presumably to avoid that issue
