Cps?

Just to make sure, the F7TZ-12K073-B will work in a 95 model right? The stealer gave me a different number for the 95 model, and was almost the same price.

Thanks!

There is now a new sensor out for the 96 and earlier models. that's the part number the dealer gave you more than likely. Just use the one the dealer recommends for the early trucks.

thx! the dealer only had one left (96 % down), so if i pick up an extra one for the 97+ as a spare, i should still be okay right?

i havent had to replace a cps yet, but i do have a question about them. you all are talking about the ford part #'s and prices. i was looking them up at advance and they have three different ones listed for my year model.
part # CSS626 for $25
part #FF2105 for $120
part #PC139 for $50

anyone ever tried the $25 one from advance? a lot of stuff from advance is hit or miss, especially electronics. but it has a one year warranty, and for $25 you can run through 7 or 8 of them for what the dealer charges.

I have no idea on the AA ones but you can now buy CPS's from Ford for $25 as well. I have not had good luck with them in my truck so I am searching high and low for every new old sensor I can find.

correction on that last post, i still had it looking up stuff for a 96 instead of a 97 model. but out of the ones they have listed for the 97, one is the same part number as one of the 96 models. the others are different. but the prices are within a few dollars of each other.

CSS1603-$29
FF2105-$120
SN2103-$133
PC603-$45

if the ff2105 part will fit the 96 and the 97, any reason why the others are different?

It will physically fit but it can't be the right one for both years.

For 96 and earlier the contacts are tinned and on the 97 and later they are gold plated.
