What model SCT tuner should I buy?

You guys have me pretty much set on buying an SCT tuner for my '06 6.0L turbo diesel, now all I need to know is what model to buy... Strategy flash device, XCalibrator or the LIVEWIRE? I want whatever is the best, dont care about price. Thanks again for all your awesome support.

The ExCal 2 would be my choice too, and I have used a bunch of different tuners.

ExcalII is the one to get, with custom tunes. Contact Matt (PSD 60L Fx4) at www.lidiesel.com, he is the tuning guru on the 6.0 and they are site sponsers.

FYI Stay far far away from the "Livewire" it is nothing but problems.

Hope this helps

Since the ExcalII seems to be the winner, I hope I'm not hi-jacking. What 3 tunes have you guys selected for it? I'm sure they are named differently depending on where you buy the unit, I'm basically using http://www.lidiesel.com/Electronics.htm as a reference.

MH34444--Give Matt or Jeremy a call and talk to them about your particular driving style or needs and they can help you make a good decision. All their files have been tested extensively and since they are custom tunes they can be tweaked to your needs.

XcalII

Excalibrator is super easy to use and fast. I just loaded up 3 different tunes from Jeremy at LIPD and the difference is really cool (from stock). He made me an Economy, a Tow, a Economy Street (I don't like the black smoke thing) and a Heavy Tow. The tranny shift in the heavy tow is interesting, but all 4 are fun and different. I have settled on using the street economy for a cross between fun and fuel savings. The truck's PCM seems to enjoy the tunes as much as I do.
