TQ Converter lock when cold?

I hear it's normal, but I wanted to run this by you guy... When I first start my truck in the morning and drive it.. the TQ converter wont lock for a good 1-2miles. Is this normal?

Yes it is normal. The PCM prevents the T/C lockup to help warm the transmission faster.

Yes, PCM inhibits TC lock based on temp reading of ATF in tranny, but I can't remember how warm it needs to get to allow lock.

Ok.

Nothing like merging into traffic, and doing 65mph @ 2400rpms or so.

Need to open up the exhaust a bit to have it scream a little louder.
