E40D TQ CONVERTER STUDS

I just ordered a transmission and it got here last night. I went out this morning to start putting it in and I noticed on the TQ Converter that it had studs without threads. The TQ Converter that came off had threads that went through the flywheel. Is the a wrong TQ Converter or can it be installed thanks. Chris

I have a 97 ford F-250 7.3 diesel extended cab.

If the studs are not threaded how are you going to tighten the convertor?

Hahahaha im such an idiot. There are plastic caps over the threads that is painted the same color of the TQ Converter. Thanks for the response
