Just what you need...

Standard Catalog Of Light Duty Ford Trucks 1905-2002 Krause Publications
krause.com (ISBN 0-87349-411-3)

While there are rarity tables, there are none for how many Camper Specials were made. But anything else you want to know is listed, including all the models, paint codes, engine sizes and accessories. Book covers Bronco, Ranchero, F Series, etc...

72,674 F350's were made in 1979. That's all the production info listed for a F350.

72,000 '79 F350s? They all must have gone to an early grave. I rarely see '79 F350s. In my sights, it was 1 in 50 F250s.

Figures as much - F150 was extremely popular. I'm having such a tough time finding a 250/350 in my area. It's all F150s.

i know what you mean about rare to find

I managed to find one of these 79 f350s a couple of years ago, it is a super camper special, great truck, truly built ford tough. greta trucks, there were one for sale about two years ago, it was a 79 350 4x4 crewcab, i guess it had been modified 'cause it was a long box....and it put a transport truck engine in it, like an 11 liter cummins or something like that,,,,the dude who sold it has lots of old parts...if i can find his number i'll send it to you, as he's gfot lots of body parts and old chassiss available..
