'98 Expedition 4.6L Knock Sensor Location

Does anyone know the exact location of the knock sensor on a '98 Expy with a 4.6L? I have heard conflicting info and can't seem to find it myself.

knock sensor

There is a threaded hole in the cylinder valley for the knock sensor.

Yep-it's under the intake manifold,bolted directly to the block in the center. Real PITA of a job-that's why the one on the F150 is still not replaced.
