Just like when I was a kid. If I had said that I'd get yelled at, but it's ok for someone else?? J/K. Somethings just need to be said.

fishingtrucker -- Thanks for posting back with the fix. Hope your SD gives less trouble from now on. Of course...the rattle and clunk is another story.

That's great you got your truck back! Cab off repair? The more and more I hear it's just so disapointing. Man I would try to get my money back If I were you! I hope the best for you, but I am sure you will be in the shop a lot with that truck! Is it worth it? I ask that question in all seriousness!

Is the 2008 Super Duty so much better than the 2007 that it's worth the potential shop visits that come along with it? I have not driven one yet just curious?

Any vehicle can cause problems, but I would have to vote on the YES...the 2008 is that much better than the previous generation SD.

Keep this in mind...the 2008 was designed to have the cab off during service to the 6.4L PSD. However, the 2003-2007 SD were not designed for the cab off...and the 6.0L PSD has had many a cab off a SD during service. I prefer something that is designed for it...then not.

Just my .02.

Great post, NOT! Just what scientific data did you use to come up with this logic?

All mechanical products made by humans break for many different reasons. I fail to see the logic in your post or what it does to help the original poster with his problem. If you are just here to bash FMC or put down other posters on there choice of vehicle then maybe you shouldn't be posting around here. Your post is not only derogatory but also a backhand slap to the original poster. We don't need your type of posts on FTE.

FTE is a family friendly site devoted to helping each other learn and solve problems with there respective vehicle.

Glad to hear you got your truck back, sorry to hear the tech left something loose or rubbing under your truck. Hopefully they can fix the clunk quickly so you won't be without your truck any longer. Thank you for updating your post with your repairs so that others may become more informed about there trucks
