1997 F-150 ext cab, blender motor module

A local AC repair place just told me that my blender motor module is bad and needs to be replaced. 7.6 hrs of labor, $600 - is this true ?

All of a sudden my A/C started blowing warm and my heat started blowing cold. It worked fine then all of a sudden it started doing that.

Any ideas..

Is a blend door motor. I'm pretty sure the dash needs to come out to change it. $600 is probably in the ball park.

Welcome to the forum cstein64

If it's the blend door motor that needs replacing it can be done without removing the dash. If it's the actual blend door then 7.6 hours is about right.
The first thing to check is the temperature control ****. They sometimes crack and then you try to adjust the temperature and the **** just spins on the control shaft.
