Not saying you don't have anything wrong but that isn't an uncommon mpg number on those years of motors.

First off, welcome to FTE. Check the simple things first. Tire pressures. Fuel additives. Oil quality. Cold weather and the switch to winter blend has caused my mileage to suffer as well. I went from 18 to about 15 with the onset of these really cold temps. Others will chime in shortly with more ideas I'm sure.

Welcome to FTE! great place for finding info on our PSD's
when was the last time the fuel filter and oil was changed?
i would also recommend that you try some fuel additive like Diesel Kleen (wal-mart is a good place to get it cheap). when i got mine truck a few months ago, i started with 16oz per tank and had to change my filter twice to clean up all the junk in the tank. after that i got a few mpg increase.
check the intercooler boot clamps. they can work loose and cause small air leaks that will affect performance and mpg's.
i'm sure someone the resident guru's will chime in shortly and help out

thanks
mike

I constantly get 15-16mpg and sometimes 17mpg with my truck.
17mpg when I cruise at anything under 2000 RPM.

Most of the time I get in the upper 15's.

So to me....13mpg seems kinda bad. I don't know what kind of fuel your using or how well your regular maintenance is kept up though.
