Stuck on Defrost

For some reason, regardless of the air flow directional setting, I am getting 100% defrost on heat or cool (AC). Does this sound like the directional switch? If so, can it be removed easily without pulling the whole dash out? Anybody else had cold feet as a result?

Air Flow

Defrost is the default position if the HVAC system loses its vacuum source. Check all underhood vacuum hoses and listen closely if you have a vacuum leak in the dash.

Ron, I disconnected the vaccum line to the front wheel hubs some time ago when I added Warn Locking Hubs. If that vaccum line is leaking would it affect the HVAC vaccum I wonder?

Never knew the HVAC was vaccum operated. Thanks.

Yes if not plugged that would now be a source of air to enter the vac system. The vac pump could be burned up now you will have to check it for operation also.
