I am trying to figure out my EATC issue. Any floor positions default to defrost. The system holds vacuum just fine. Vent, Max A/C and Defrost work fine. Just Floor, Flr/Def and Panel/Floor just comes out the defrost vents.
Looking under the dash the arm that moves when you change the setting seems to work fine. When you change to vent it moves (towards the bottom), same with defrost (towards the top), but when you go to floor it stays in the same position as defrost.
Would this seem to be an issue with the headunit? Maybe not sending a signal to direct vacuum to move the arm/actuator? It shows me no errors when doing the self test.
I want to make sure before spending $400+ on a new one.
Just a heads up, I finally got around to buying a new EATC from the dealer... I got it for $600 CDN as I have a friend who works there. Regular price (and best I could find in town) was $1010. But it fixed the issue 100% and I am very pleased to have some heat for my feet in winter.
