Exclamation Gain 110 HP , 220 Ft/ Lb.s for under $400???? BS or real?

I am looking at these chips:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bully...QQcmdZViewItem

And it says "
All Excursion:Gain up to 110 Horsepower Up to 200 foot pounds Torque"

And I was looking here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUPER...QQcmdZViewItem

And it says "100 HORSEPOWER, AND 160 FOOT POUNDS ON LEVEL THREE "

Is this all bull or do you really gain that much power? Also it says it can improve fuel economy by upto 4 MPG on the Excursion. Is that true or bull?

That's for a diesel equipped Excursions. You can get unreal power out of them. What they may not tell you is that there are many other (more $$$) thing syou must do to make sure you don't destroy and break parts in the prcoess of producing and using that extra power.

i don't know how close to accurate those numbers for that system are but i will tell you that the 7.3l deisels do perform very well to some reprogramming and a few other mods to them . and some of them will get ou those type of numbers out of the mods. i know a guy that has a 7.3 super duty that runs the drag strip and blows the doors off lightnings.

I'm not sure, but I would check Bully Dog's website and see what it says, because it should be pretty honest. I have a gasser, but from what I have seen, Bully Dog seems to be a reputable company. Assuming what you see in the pic is what you get, you can probably trust the specs on Bully Dog's website, whatever they are. But if its true, go for it man, because an extra 200 ft/lbs sounds pretty sweet to me!

Both of those sites says that programer can be used on the Excursion. Read carefully. It says 120 HP for the EXCURSION. And 120 HP / 240 ft. torque for the V-8.

I would suggest you look into an SCT xCal2 - been through a lot of tuners and it IS the best bang for the buck .. hp wise, mpg wise, tranny tuning wise, longevity wise...
it's just WISE

No matter. It still is for a DIESEL Excursion. Not for the V8 or V10 gasser.

if you look real close.... the second one is for a 6.0l diesel not a v-10

the superchip model you want for a pre 05 v-10 is the 1715 and you are going to see approx 25-30 hp gains, i do not know the torque numbers from the top of my head.

None.

You end up using the added power too much. Plus, tuners are not designed to give gassers more MPG. And even if they did, the need to run Premium negates any cost benefit of increased mileage.

More power should require less throttle to get it going and keep it going. Likely though, if you can't keep your foot out of it.
