Question Whats leaking on my truck

Need some help here, I have an early 2004 6.0 diesel, have 48000 miles on it,last year about the same it started leaking antifreeze from some place on the passenger side. took it to the dealership. they lowered the level in the overflow bottle. replaced a cap, told me they couldnot reproduce a leak. Its leaking again from the same place, I looked under the truck and could see antifreeze leaking from the area close to the head and the block. I donot use a tuner, but I do pull some heavy equipement in the fall and run it hard. after a long pull(haul) I park it and it will leak.. now here is the question, is it the head gaskets or Egr bottle?
and why does it sometimes poof out a little white smoke after it starts. It also seems to sputter a little bit.
can someone explain how the egr and egr bottle work? I have read a few posts on this and am somewhat confused. Do these work together? what should I do?

hop on top of your engine and look for a orange hose coming off the egr cooler to the left of the oil filter housing. it might be tough to se the leak, but the orange color should stick out from the harnesses and other junk.

I agree with bowtiehatr, that hose will usually make its presence known after you park. Its a real pain to change as well.

Also check for a broken hose clamp. You couldn't even see the one that broke on mine. I had an intermittent leak. I checked everywhere with a mirror etc. The clamp was still sitting there like it was working. After I took the intercooler tube and air filter housing out I was able to move it and it just fell off. A new worm clamp and I was good to go. It hasn't leaked since.

the hose is not that easy as the turbo and pedestal has to be removed.

Guys, looked and didnot find anything, will get her hot and try it with a mirror, I did take pics of the leak under the truck, and I know that if I take it to ford ,they will drive it until the tanks dry and tell me no leak, make an appointment when it leaks again.. so I will more than likely need some good directions on how to remove the turbo and intercooler. thanks for your help so far!
