360 to 390

Hi Yall, Looking into doing the conversion of my 360 to a 390. Been wanting a few more ponies for my 68' F250. I already have a 3.78 stroke crank and a set of 6.49" rods. But I am trying to find out if I can use the 360 pistons for the conversion or do I need 390 spec pistons. I have heard that the 360 pistons were 390 4V parts, and that they have 3904V stamped into them. Does anyone know??? I read in another post from another user on here was talking about Dave Shoe as an FE GURU; can someone refer me to him, or know where I can reach him??? Any info would be really appreciated. Thanks,
Don

You are correct. Those pistons will give you car compression ratio too. Not the lower truck one.
