Some new pics of the project...
Well, I am still in teardown mode but it is getting there. I really hate working under the dash.

Greetings from Germany !!!
Cool, but way to go ... From there it took me almost 18 years to get mine (almost) done, but guess I was slow.
Create a gallery and update it once in a while.
Will you go all stock or will you Hot Rod it or .... What are the plans ?

Not sure what it'd be classified as. It def. won't be stock but won't be a hot rod either. Making several improvements and it will be a "daily driver".
Dodge Dakota front suspension
Ford 9" to parallel 4-bar with airbags
Ford 300ci Straight-Six (nicely built)
C6 or AOD automatic tranny
One piece full-tilt front end
Upgrade to 12V
21gal fuel tank "between the rails"
4-wheel disc brakes with firewall mounted pedal
Nothing too radical done to the inside or dash. I don't want to ever cut the dash in any way so updates here will be minimal.

JT - that's a cool plan.
I especially like the idea with the 300 I6 (even so I went V8 on mine).
Mine is rather a Restomod and I kept the solid front suspension (for now). Have Disc Brakes, so. Rear is 9" with Drums (but have Disc Kit in box). I also have a one piece fibre glass front end sitting on a shelf since the late 80s. Went back to all steel.
Totally agree with the interieur. Leave it as is. The dash is way cool. No plastic, just painted metal. Wish they still do that today.
Greetings !!

Hi JT,
Your machine looks great! I second the vote to have a gallery so we can keep track of you.
I've got a 56 F-250 and I know what you mean about working under the dash. On mine, we're doing a complete resto so I just took the cab off, turned it upside down, made some wood supports to avoid denting the roof, and it was pretty easy to tear down. I plan on doing the same thing during rebuild. I'll get everything painted except the inside and outside of the roof, put it all together (including wiring), and stick it back on the truck. Painting both sides of the roof shouldn't be a big deal at that point.
Comments about what I've missed with this scheme are very welcome. Preferably before I get it upside down and everything put back together in about 3 years!
