Need everything needed to mount the Cowl Vent on 54 F100 !
Hello from Germany!
... I miss all parts needed to mount the Cowl Vent on my 54 F100. Just sandblasted and painted the Vent and it looks like new. However, when I bought my truck it was held in place (in shut position) with some screws and non (I mean NON) of the hardware was there.
The catalogs talk about ...
1. Cowl Vent Handle
2. Cowl Vent Arm
3. Cowl Vent Shoulder Bolt
4. Cowl Vent Spring an Bolt
5. Cowl Vent Underdash Brace
1., 2. and 5. are only available on exchange basis and then you get a chromed one. First, I have nothing to trade in and second I do not want chrome. I also wonder if this is all. I see that there's a mounting provision in the middle of the vent and then there are two holes on each side of the vent. Looking at the typically rather bad scetches in the catalogs, the vent as well as the cowl of my truck I have no glue what-so-ever how that would work. Please enlighten me. Or e-mail me a pic or two (54f100@gmx.de).
Does anyone have all the bits and pieces and would sell to me ? No need to ship to good old Germany. I have a friend in Rockford, Ill.
Thanx !!!

Greetings from Germany !!!:-X12
Unfortunately this did not work. The bcguys must be offline. Have not heard anything for a few month. Guess they must have too much snow ...
Anyway, here I go again and ask:
Anyone else has all this hardware for the cowl vent for me ???
It may be rusty, just needs to be complete. I will sandblast and paint.
Also no need to ship to Germany. Have a buddy in Rockford, Ill. and also (hope) 'fenders would help me.
THANX !!!:-X12
