I searchd the forums but did not find anthing on this. I want to add a good set of amber fogs to my new 06. Has anyone done this. I have the factory fogs in the bumper, but there is nothing like the HELLA amber fog in blinding snow. I had them mounted right on my bumper on my 04, but the new trucks appear to have a plastic bumper top.

Thoughts ????

I haven't done this or even thought about it for mine, but why not just swap the factory fogs out for the Hellas? Wiring already done for you.

 

Won't fit in the same space?

 

As above, I'd put a LARGE washer between the bumper and the nut for a better base and less vibration.

 

The Hella 550 wont even come close to fitting in the same spot. I had tried this on my 04, thats how they ended up on the bumper. My 04 had a BOSS plow so I couldn't use a "bull" bar type light mount. By the sounds of it that is what I will need for the 06.
