clutch size-urgent response needed

hey, I was needing to know if I have a 10" or 11" clutch.

my truck is a 1994 Ford F-150 Extended Cab Short Bed 4X2 with a 4.9L 300 I6 and a 5 speed standard with a 3.55 rear end(open differential).

my clutch just went out and I'm going to have to replace it and I'd rather not have to drop my tranny to find out what size it is. any help would be appreciated. thanks

10"

It is determined by GVW. I don't remember the cut-off but I have never seen a 4.9 150 SB with a factory 11.

Also, did you put the ZF in or did it come that way?

I think in the past, the consensus was that either size clutch/pressure plate combo would bolt to the flywheel.

i was looking on the internet and I think the cutoff was 8500. because one place had a 10" for truck under 8500 and an 11" for trucks over 8500

i was hoping it was the 10", it was about $30 cheaper

about the tranny... I'm not sure, but I believe that is what it has, but I may be wrong

You will have a M5OD with 99% certainty. And the 8500 sounds familiar.

Yea, i doubt the strait 6 came with a zf unless special ordered.

I've drove an 302 extended cab with a zf.

Best way to figure it out is if you can go 10 mph in first, or if you can go 30.
zf wont let you go much more then 5-10 mph in first gear.

You couldn't get a ZF in an F-150, special order or not. Talyn, if you drove a truck with a 302 and a ZF it wasn't like that from the factory.

The factory clutch is a 10". Unless you need the extra clamping power of the 11", stick with the stock size.
