coughed and hickuped then died
Ok, here's what happened. I started the truck knowing I needed fuel. The gauge read just above the red mark on the gauge. The truck sat in my driveway over night on a slight incline (never seemed to bother it b4). The truck started with no problem. I hitched the trailer to it and left. About two blocks from the house the truck coughed and hickuped (like it had no fuel) then died. I checked the fuel filter bowl, it was full. Filter just replace 3 days before. The cps was replaced back in May. Truck died on highway and code stated cps was bad. I have checked the all of the fuses in the truck too. (Pulled them out physically and checked them). Tach moves just a bit when trying to start, it moves no more than an 1/4 inch off of the bottom of the tach. The oil gauge shows its building pressure. So what in the world do I check now? Oh yeah the GSR clicks and comes on like it's suppose to.

Well I got the truck to start today. After the new CPS was in still nothing. I checked the FPR, no fuel. I bled the lines by cracking them open and the shrader valve too. Finally got fuel there. and about a 2 dozen times of trying to crank the truck over it FINALLY started. By the way the batteries do not like that kind of abuse, have a battery charger on hand also. I guess I ran it out of fuel....oooopps. To all that have these trucks....IF THE GAUGE READS LESS THAN 1/4 full PUT FUEL IN YOUR TRUCK!!!!!!!!!! THANKS GUYS FOR ALL YOUR HELP. I hope this helps some one else.
