just traded my dodge for f150
Hi all, just found your place here and checking it all out...
Yesterday, I traded my dodge 06 3500 in on a 06 f150, its the fx4 deal, 6', 20" rims, leather captins, probley like them all, silver/black
I see alot of comparisons on here so I'll tell ya mine. First, when i got the 3500 I needed a diesel, after talking to alot of people, decided on the dodge. I roadraced motorcycles and planned to run all over the southeast this year pulling a big enclosed trailer with my buddies, that got sidelined so didn't need the diesel anymore. I did need a half ton, only choices for me were the tital and the ford, I need a real truck bed so got the ford.
Dodge was a 3500, slt, leather and all that 4wd, auto
Pros: cummins moto, pretty good looks, bombed in was fun...
Cons: trans is horrid, 14.5 best ever mpg, broke steering box and tie rod doing nothing, bad ride, very simple interior, really bad seats, diesel cost more than gas and only going to get worse...
Yes I realize this is a work truck, but it was also my daily driver, I need a bit nicer ride for me, wife, and kids
Ford is light years ahead in comfort, fit, and finish, I feel like I'm driving a benz, I love everything about the truck so far, no complaints it does everything it should, but as always, you can't have enougt hp
I have been looking at f150's for awhile, then the 0/72 month deal, sealed it, I knew i was going to take a beating on my trade, but it all worked out. Getting ready to order edge, filter, and leveling kit and will be a happy camper

Autospring sells direct on Ebay. It is a buy it now price of $82.95 and that includes shipping for the 2" leveling kit for 04-06 F-150. There is also a link for install. Once you click on that link it tells step by step install but the pictures were removed. If you scroll to the end of the thread somebody posted 4 pictures that helped me incredibly because I am not by any means a mechanic but as I mentioned I was able to install in less than 3 hours with stopping to get a fresh brew.

Thanks all,
got the autospring 2" leveling kit and the edge evo on the way, will install next week and order a drop-in afe filter, don't think I'll go with the cold air intake this time
now, just need to decide on exhualst, need a little more rumble but not too loud, better flow and mpg help is main concern, looking at borla or magnaflow cat back, may lose the kitty somewhere too...
only other conciderations are the efans and pully's, not sure if i'll jump on those just yet and a new gps/dvd headunit, i'm pretty happy with the audiophile speakers so far
