Question Super Syn 75W-140 by NAPA

Searched the forum but couldn't find anything on this particular brand of gear oil. I'm kinda in the sticks here in Virginia and we have two choices, Ford down the road or the local NAPA. It is a full synthetic but all it says is use as specified for API Service GL-5 (limited and conventional differentials). I have a 3.73 limited slip and hope this will be okay. I have bought the additive for the limited slip just in case. Anyone else ever used this oil?

Also a side bar question, I was changing the VSS and found metal shavings attached all away around, nothing huge but enough to cause some concern. I'll know more when I pull the cover off here in an hour or so.

Thanks.

Yup, Napa oil is the same as Valvoline oil.

Appreciate the info. I can get 4 quarts of the NAPA brand for 32.00 or 1 quart of the Valvoline for around 16.00 a quart. I don't need the fancy labels so NAPA it is.

Thanks!

proud user of it here!! i was gonna use royal purple..........but then a JB 80 rep came to sell us some products at the place i work. he did that little weight comparison w/ the electric motor and the spinning bearing. that Supersyn held the same amout of weights as that expensive roayl purple! go figure huh, the cheap stuff works just as good!
