2007-08 Super Duty

Just thought some of you guy's would like to view the new Super Duty's if you haven't already seen them. Go to google and type in 2007 or 2008 super duty. My first take is that the head lights would look better if they were flipped 180 degrees. But I bet they light the road up better being right on top of the bumper. They are suppose to be 350hp with 650 ft/lbs of torque. They are suppose to be quieter than the 6.0L and get even better fuel mileage. Imagine the torque and hp you could get out of it with some tuning................

I'd rather it be a compound turbo 7.3 - there's no replacement for displacement.

I usually think that way too, but you remember the 87 Grand National's? That was the fastest production car made back then and there are not many cars today that will walk away from it. Start with some mild tuning and its over. Everything else would be playing catch up.

Joke about the Grand Nationals? No. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Ford guy and have had some fast Mustangs, but I've been beat several times by Grand Nationals. Buick under rated those cars at 240 hp.

Anyone ever see that video of the 1000 HP Grand National over at Diesel Innovations? You could see toward the end of his pull the tires were spinning on the rollers because of all the smoke coming off of them, so I don't think that he was able to lay all the power down. At the end of the video they showed the screen. 1076 HP!
I just went and looked and it's still there.

Yep, that was Chris Chow. The dyno accellerated too quickly and burnt up the inertia brake. That is an 8 second GN. Unfortunately it is a twin turbo Chevy big block under the hood.

Lawrence Connley and Ken Deutweiller are running single turbo V-6's that run high 8's. They sound like crotchrockets.

Also this is priceless. A fully loaded F-350 spanks a Cummins. :-) Long download but worth it.
