Okay I am currently pursuing the same route! My understanding is the rods have to be machined to fit 292 ford pin bushings. Then the rods have to have machined to fit the clips for the wrist pins. Then find a 351 Cleveland piston to fit what your looking for. Is the Wrist pin clip necessary or can you go with press fit?
Thanks!!

Also I am currently looking at 351 Cleveland dome pistons by KB on Summits sight. My question is if the compression height is 1.670 compared to the 1.650 of the stock 400 pistons, am I getting a big boost in compression. Im looking for a 10- 10.5-1 Compression ratio. IM going with a .021 to a .038 head gasket to match also. Would this all be sufficient for my build? Its bored .030 over incase that helps
