I need a good place to get parts!
i have a 84 f-250 w/a 460 and i am currentyl replacing the whole fuel system new lines and everything the only porblem is this truck has electric fuel pumps which is rare for this year and the fuel lines are in differents psot than the ones showed in the chilton manuals and diagrams! i need a good relable place that i can get fuel line for this truck! i need the fuel line the come from the carberator splits into two lines and then goes down the engine and along the drivers side of the frame to the fuel tanks! i cant just have a splitter to make two lines b/c inside of the splitter is like a pressure valve that willl send the unneeded gas back to the fuel tank! i believe that one of these lines are a feed line and the other is a return line! can anyone help me?!?!?!?!

When it comes to fuel hose rubber, I use hydraulic hose you can get it from NAPA the 3/8 is blue, the 5/16 is black. With hydraulic hose it doesn't dry rot like the gas hose of today. (imported from CHINA) or some other third world county.
You are right one is return and one feeds. The valve is a FORD ONLY item so I replaced mine by teeing off. I put a small ball valve on the frame to regulate the return if needed. I run an oil filled presure gauge in front of the tee. I also have an aux. electric pump mounted on the frame on the feed side just front of the switch over valve. An 84 460 with electric tank pumps is not rare. Not any rarer than an 84 with a 460. Ford started using electric in tank pumps in 84. I was working for a Ford Dealership when they came out. They where JUNK then and still are.
Why are you replacing all the hose? Ford used plastic hose, and steel. that was one thing they did do right on the fuel system.

Dusty,
I buy most of my parts from Napa or CarQuest. Napa, if they don't stock the hyd. hose they can order it in. as for the tee I just used brass tee put two 3/8 hose fittings on each end and a 5/16 hose fitting for the return. The ball valve I bought at the hardware store like an Ace, or TrueValue. they make a 3/8 ball valve, just put on 5/16 hose fittings. You can buy the brass tee, and all fitting at a hardware store sometimes they are cheaper than a parts store. The presure gauge is from Jegs. An all metal ball valve will not be harmed by gas.
As for how my truck runs if runs real good. It is an 86 F250 4x4, 460, C-6, 3:55 gears. The mods include: Edelbrock Performer manifold, with a Holley 4160 600 CFM, A Cloyes TRUE Street Roller timing chain set set 4 degrees adv. TDC. The C-6 has a shift kit, & factory external cooler. I run 2.5" true dual exhausts turned down in front of rear axle. This truck has 180,000 miles on it and it's main job is to pull a 10,000 # travel trailer which it does very well. I have pretty much completely rebuilt this truck. Shocks are Pro Comp 9000s, with 5,000# AirLift air bags on rear, all new steering, ball joints, brakes, Poly Neo sway bar bushings. All that is left is to rebuild the complete engine, but it runs too good for me to even think of pulling it out. When it starts getting weak I'll do that. I fully expect to get 300,000+ mile on this engine.
Any other help you may need feel free to email or PM me.
