Working GTG

Anyone up for a working get together Sept.2nd or 3Rd?
I think the timing gear and chained stretched and have a couple of other problems I need to fix so I can drive my truck. We'll have a cookout and I will have parts and tools here.

Bring anything you would like. I think I have most of the tools we will need I really need to make a list,I'm not sure of what to get as far as parts.I will order a engine gasket set and timing gear and chain for now.If anyone can think of anything else let me Know.

Since so many people are saying August in Lexington is no good, maybe we should make this our regular GTG. I wouldn't be able to do both dates but I'd be happy to just this one instead of both.

All I need to know is who is coming so I can make sure there is enough food and drinks for everyone.

OTR, what ZIP code did you move to? I wanna mapquest it and see what kind of drive I would be subjecting myself to if I could make it.

Just under 4 hours drive for me. I'm going to tentatively say I'm coming, but it is a very long haul so I may have to back out of that plan later.

I don't know the route the map gave you but there is a few short cuts that you can take to make your trip shorter. If the map says to go to Charlotte to get on I-485 to 74 East that is way out of the way. You should be able to pick up 601 going through Concord to Kannpolis to Monroe which would knock off a great amount of time.Maybe Mako knows of some shortcuts that everyone can take.

come straight down 85 to exit 63 in kannapolis and you can ride with me. it takes me 1 1/2 hours to get to DUMC from my house and maybe 45 mins from here to OTR's house. my house is about 1 mile from 85
