I have the 05+ Harley Davidson Edition Headlamps on my 2001 SD. Just need to so some cutting of the header panel to get them to fit.

The 05+ grille is taller than the 99-04 grille. So, if you want to do the grille....you also have to do the bumper. At which point you'll be doing the complete front end conversion. So, you can get the 05+ header panel and the grille and headlamps will bolt right up without any cutting.
So you'd need the headlamps, the header panel, the grille, the front bumper, and a plug and play wiring harness to power up the 9008/H13 bulbs in the new headlamps (I bought the wiring harness from Black Cloud Diesel).

I picked up the Harley Headlamps for $229.00 each from the dealer. If you get them from the dealer they come with all three bulbs and sockets.
I'm running Silverstar 3157 bulbs for the turn/parking light....bluish/purplish when off..but light up amber.

I did a little step by step for installing them on another forum but don't want to violate any rules by linking to it.
-->Here<-- are some good pics from a sponsor's site (I didn't loosen the bumper as is mentioned here).

As for the 2006 wheels. While yes, they will bolt up since they use the same 8x170mm bolt pattern.....the backspacing is much greater on the 06 wheels since the 05-07 SDs have wider axles. So, the 2006 wheels would be tucked farther under a 99-04 truck and most likely may run into issues with the tires rubbing on the leaf springs.

Hope this helps.

thats a lil high, but ****,best looking light i have seen and with ford getting a quality part.i can get te grill for 275,i hope i can come out a lil cheaper piecing a kit together than the 1500,and get the harley parts i need, since it is a harley.i appreciate the link ,good info for me to know, good website here to,and with some good feeback.whats the header panel cost round or about?i think i can get a front bumper for 300 new ford takeoff.so with that it put me 1050-1100 bucks, but would need the headlamp harness, and front brackets, valance.hmm, might get out for around 1500 i guess ??just cuious to what a headerpanel runs for,the harness to headligh, and front bumper brackets ?hope this helpos out somebody else that wants to do this covnversion as well, good to know stuff.thanks...

Will the '04 grill/valance/bumper bolt up directly with no modifications to an '06 while still utilizing the '06 lights?
