Fan spacer for '66 with 352 - different sizes??

I am trying to add aftermarket AC to my '66 f100 and will need to move the radiator back to make room for the condensor. With the stock spacer (the piece between the water pump and the fan) I can move the radiator back less than 3/4 inch before it hits the fan. Is there a shorter fan spacer that will bolt up that I can use to buy myself some more room?

Try using a modern clutch fan instead. I think you will find it gives you the room you need, plus quietens the engine noise down. It amy even improve mpg, but I cannot confirm that. You will need to put studs in the water pump pulley flange instead of using long bolts. Get one off any Ford big block; I think mine came off an LTD.
It worked for me when I had to move my radiator for AC.

Pardon my ignorance, but explain to me exactly what a modern clutch fan is and how does it differ from what I have. Do I only need to put studs in the water pump flange and bolt the fan on and thats it?

You've got it! The fan clutch is a just that, allowing the fan to spin freely when the air temperature off the radiator is low enough (as on the freeway), but it locks the fan in to spin at engine speed when the temps build up (as when sitting at a stoplight).
It spins on it's own shaft, which mounts to the water pump. The fan blades are steel or aluminum, and bolt to the backside of the clutch. You'll need to put threaded studs into the water pump flange, then use nuts to secure the clutch shaft to the water pump (don't forget the pulley, of course).
Note that the studs for water pumps have 2 threads on them; one is for the pump flange threads, and the other is for the nuts to hold the fan clutch. Generally, the coarser threads screw into the flange. There is a shoulder between the 2 sets of threads to provide proper stud depth.
You can buy new/rebuilt clutches at any parts store. The shaft and pump mount flange are part of the clutch, but you'll need to get the fan separate, which is why I recommend you just go for a used one off an LTD or a later truck.
Hope this helps!
And, don't feel bad about posting. I am constantly learning something new here!
