Biodiesel?

yes, biodiesel is better IMO than regular diesel. plus its made right here in the US. not sending any $$$ overseas which is fine with me.
it had several times more lubricity than the Low Sulfiur Diesel (LSD) fuel now, and it will be several times better for your engine once the ULSD is solely used. i find that it is about $.07-.10 cheaper than regular diesel, with the last fillup (about two weeks ago) being $2.859 a gallon opposed to $2.93 for regular. i say run it if you can, because alot of the guys here would rather run it than regular diesel. also, you do not use fuel additive with BioDiesel.

I don't believe in just going with a pump BXX fuel and calculating the mileage. To me that is inaccurate. B20 is what? 20% B100 and 80% regular diesel. That means that if your regular diesel is good, it can improve mileage and if it is bad, it can decrease mileage. I did a more accurate test. You see, when I filled up at the Woodman's pump, my mileage went down. Filled up somewhere else and it went back to normal. Did the cycle a few more times. Usually I run it down to empty. This is for my 99 E300 Turbodiesel Mercedes. So, depending on where you get the fuel, things might change. Anyways, I made sure I bought diesel from the same place. Then added some B100 to make whatever percentage I want. B2 to B5, no difference. B40 and I lost some mpg.
Run better? Doubt it. Didn't sound that different where you can definately tell which it is running in a blind test. At least with me. Besides, I am fine with the way it runs. IIRC, a report mentioned that they think B2 will give the same lubricity as LSD when they switch to ULSD. In any case, I thought that ULSD was supposed to meet the same lubricity specs that LSD does either by it self or they will add some additive. So, will it hurt the car? Doubtful unless it really loses lubricity with ULSD and they don't add the additive. Time will tell. Unleaded gas was supposed to reduce car engines to scrap metal but that has not provben to be true. In fact, I have seen some old engines that were in the leaded gas time run without modifications like hardened valves or whatever it is and they run just fine.

Thats all well and good,, and even though it may not make a difference in the Grand Scheme of things,, I feel better about it and thats all that really matters.
