Heat wave?

Is Ontario in a heat wave like us in Sask.? It`s in the 30`s C, very sunny with hardly any wind and that`s too hot for me.

It's warm here but it has been windy. Helps cool me off. It could be hotter, but then I would have to quit my job and stay hope and sleep.

When I was born ( a few years ago this thursday) in southern sask, the temperature reached 107*

My Mum said they had 2 windows open & 3 fans going to try and make it more comfortable.

I asked her why didn't they put some air conditioners in the windows.

She said they weren't invented yet

It's a little different....

Here in Ontario it's more a humidity thing. The humidex readings have gone over 40c recently and today, the last I heard, it was 38c.
Hot & sticky. Nothing like working up a sweat doing absolutely nothing.

I wish I had a longer vacation. Yesterday afternoon I got gas in Nobel Ontario (north of Barrie) and didn't get out of the car until Woodstock. That was quite a shock! We had really nice weather all vacation, wearing sweatshirts, and our winter coats in Churchill while whale watching. 33 in Morden Manitoba was what 27 feels like here because they have no humidity.

I spoke too soon. It was up to 45*C today with humidity. This sucks.

Finally Some cool weather.....

The cold front finally got here tonight. Some rain is helping cool things down too.
Yesterday broke a record for the average temperature on August 1st in Toronto. 31 point something was yesterdays 24 hour average WITHOUT THE HUMIDEX !!!!!!!!! The previous record was set in 1948.
Today was just a tic or two cooler. Go figure, todays work was all push, shove & grunt. Talk about sweat my baggage off !!!!!!!!!!!
