68 engine swap

I read the tech article about swapping a 300 6/cyl with a Mustang 5.0. I have a 87 Lincoln 5.0 can anyone tell me the HP difference between the two. Would it be the same as the Mustang engine.

What kind of Lincoln? The Mark VII had the same engine as the Mustang but the power was a little less due to the exhaust. All the other ones were rated at somewhere around 165hp.

LAST EDITED ON 05-Feb-01 AT 00:01 AM (EST)[p]If it is a Mark VII With a 5.0 HO the hp should be 225. I have an 88 Mark VII 5.0 HO and it is rated at 225 horses. 87 should be the same. If it is a Town Car then RSJOHNSN is right, it will have 165 hp.
