Back from Bandimere

Just got back from Ford Fest at Bandimere. I couldn't stay for the entire event, but I did get a chance to run my truck and meet Shay from the Colorado PSD Club. I'm sure others who were there will chime in that they had a great time as well. Finally got a chance to introduce my wife to the wonderful world of drag racing. I managed to get her to do a ride along with me on my 2nd (and much slower) run. I only ran twice, with my first run my fastest at 16.5 @ 81 mph. I was hoping for better, but with my stock gears, low spool at launch, and the HPOP that won't keep up, this was all I could manage.

Anyway, had fun and I'll be back for more.

I'll bet that was fun. I haven't been to Bandimere in years....of course, I haven't lived in Colorado snce the mid 80's, so it's not like I can just pop in.

Any of the fast PSD's show up and run?

Cookie - unfortunately I didn't get to see the PSD's down the track. I was in the staging lanes myself with no view of the track. Also there weren't as many PSD's as I thought would be there running. Shay ran hers, but I didn't get to see the time. Also I'm not sure who has the black DRW with ATS stickers all over and the cannons for stacks, but that truck was in the 14's. That was the fastest PSD there that I know of.

I plan on attending the Cummins sponsored Truck Fest next month as well. Hopefully by then I'll have my ATS housing and (maybe if I'm really good) a new HPOP. My first run I tripped the SES light for the HPOP by the time I crossed the 1/8th mile marker. The weird thing was the second run I didn't spool at all on the launch and the SES light didn't trip until the last 200 ft, but had almost the same top speed even at 1/2 second slower. I guess the HPOP kept up a little better second time and my truck ran much stronger at the end of the 2nd run.

If you guys can make it, the event next month is going to be massive. The fastest of the fast will be showing up there next month. Shay's already posted the info on another fourm, and there's a big bunch of PSD's showing up. Glad you got to meet her - she's quite the firecracker.

Here's a link to the info about the event next month, hopefully some of the FTE members can go: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=503724
