2007 Ford Superduty - Truck Trend Magazine
Has anyone seen the new July/August 2006 issue of "Truck Trend" , They have photos of the new 2007 Superdutys and they look really funny. It only shows a SRW Regular Cab White Superduty with funny headlights..
On the webpage they have a picture of a CrewCab Black F350 that they say are being tested with a new motor also.
From there website:
"Delayed due to Ford's financial constraints, the heavy-duty workhorse truck range is ultimately destined to receive major changes for 2007. This Crew Cab longbed 1-ton version sports a single rear wheel; this vehicle is being tested with a new, smaller V-6 4.5-liter turbodiesel from International, promising improved fuel economy."

Guys – I know of no delay on the 2008 launch in January of 2007. The 2007 is nothing more than a wormed over 2006. The 2008 is the big change and will begin production in late January 2007. My guess is it will make an 18 month run on the 2008 model year to make the 2009 change over in the summer of 2008.

I did some reading between the lines to get to my conclusion...
It's a well established fact that Ford is carrying the same '06 model over into what they will call the '07 model year. It is also widely known that both the '06 & '07 model years will be seriously shortened model years. And, it is widely held that the '08 model year (starting at the beginning of the '07 calendar year) will carry the new body style--from which many folks, myself include, have cringed at.
As Fishsimion specifically pointed out the "funny headlights", I am left to believe that he is looking at the "spy photos" of the new body style. I am pretty sure anyone that reads this thread knows exactly which pictures I am referring to...there have been at least three, rather long, threads with pictures or links to other sites with pictures.
So, if the July/August 2006 issue of Truck Trend is still claiming that to be the 2007 Super Duty, I seriously have to question what kind of a delay they have between the story being assembled & the mags being printed....because we've been down the road of the upcoming model years & their changes (or non-changes) many times over the past couple of months.

I have an inside sorry about the new model SD with the 6.4L. The new look will start to be built in Jan. 07. They will be calling it 2007 1/2 if everything goes well, if not they will delay and call it 2008. As of now they are on the road across the US for a durabilty tests. This is from what I was told from someone that has a contact at Kentuck Truck.
