emergency brake

the emergency brake dont brake enough. Is there anything i can do, else then change the pads? Any adjustement or sometin?

I had the same problem until I forgot to turn it off and drove about 15 miles before I realized it. Anyway, I think the problem is if you don't use it much the drum portion builds up with rust and then doesn't make much friction to hold. Mine works much better now that I burned half the pads off. Not suggesting to do it, but rust is the probable cause of it not holding. I could be way off and sure someone will correct if I am wrong, but that is what I am thinking is going on and why mine now works much better.

Yes, there is an adjustment. You need to jack the rear end up so both wheels are off the ground, (use jack stands) look for elongated slots similar to regular drums, they may have rubber covers on them. Ratchet the little wheel up or down I forget, while you turn the tire with your hand untill it starts binding. That should do it. Hope this helps.

You can go to the sticky at the top of the forum, called Links to Common Mods. Check for the post by me, I think #19, and it has instructions on tightening the parking brake, along the lines of what DISLFVR posted.
