I have a 1982 Grumman Stepvan which is powered by a 3.7 liter 4cyl diesel engine.It runs good once started but it needs some help.The intake preheater shorts out, so I have to fiddle with it to make it work.The van is perfect for me and I would love to find parts for repairing it.I have asked everyone I can about it and have made lots of phone calls to no avail.I have yet to find anyone who has one, had one, or knows about one.Parts? Help!

 

well, i cant really help, but then i guess you're fishing around like me. been just about all i can do to not freak out today, trying to find someone who knows what parts go on this van. guess you were experiencing this a couple months ago , so maybe now you could help me out? i've been searching forums and calling and writing to people trying to find out if this is an E-350 chassis or what. looks wider, being a stepvan, but then i havnt measured it against a regular van/truck. what's the engine in yours? i've got a cummins 4bt in this one which is a whole 'nother thing . there's 3 books on this engine, they go in a 3 ring binder, and each one's @ 30 bucks,used... anyway, if you ever figured anything out partswise, maybe pass it on...
