01 screw dropping cylinders when wet?
My dad has a 2001 f150 supercrew with a 5.4L. Everytime it goes through the car wash and sometime when it rains the truck runs like s@@@. It feels like its dropping at least 2 cylinders. I think the water is leaking through the hood by the windshield and getting to the coils. Then just the other day while running at about 65mph the truck shutoff twice. Almost like it ran out of fuel. If you got off the gas it would come back again. Anyone have any ideas at all? changed the 2 rear coil modules but still no good.

I have not experienced this before but, passing on what I've seen in other threads.
There is a rain channel along the top of the firewall. Apperently there is a drain for the channel in the area of the the back of the engine on the passenger side. Water drips right down on the #4 cylinder COP.
Good luck!

From another thread,
BTW, the most common reason for demise of the COP on the #4 cylinder is leaking antifreeze from the heater hoses poised over that section of the engine. I suggest that you ensure that you don't have any antifreeze leaks in that area before you swap/replace COPS.
There is a stickied thread at the top of this forum titled "How to replace your 4.6L & 5.4L spark plugs". I would suggest reading that thread for all the useful information that it contains.
